KMA Consulting Engineers, Inc. (KMA) is seeking a Survey Party Chief to join our growing survey group. KMA is seeking an experienced candidate with a strong ability to take initiative and exemplify leadership qualities and adhere to safety protocols.

​

Responsibilities: 

• The Survey Party Chief candidate: 

• Should have an understanding of land survey principles and best practices

• Able to work with the project surveyor to efficiently coordinate field crew activities to adhere to safety protocols

• Handle survey equipment responsibly and safely

• Skills in collecting field survey data through traditional Total Station with data collectors

• Set-up, calibrate, and operate survey equipment, compile field notes and drawings 

• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as carrying instruments

Requirements: 

• Minimum of 4 years experience in the field

• Must have experience with field surveys, laser scanning, topographic surveys, and construction stakeout

• Must have familiarity with electronic equipment for surveying such as Total Station and global positioning

• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record

• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
