Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer

KMA Consulting Engineers, Inc. (KMA) is seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer –Highway (ASCE Level P-IV) to assist in the design and project management of transportation engineering projects. The position will be based from KMA’s Cherry Hill, New Jersey office.
Responsibilities:

Provide engineering for the preparation of drawings, calculations, reports, and other related tasks.

Assist in developing drawings and specifications for highways, structures, and traffic related projects.

Gather and review background information for project sites, including as-built plans and existing utility services.

Contribute to quantity take-offs and preparation of project cost estimates.

Provide engineering for the layout of horizontal and vertical geometries, design of ADA compliant facilities, traffic control, utilities, and ROW documents.

Provide assistance to the Project Manager for the coordination of client interactions, sub consultant direction, and staff oversight.
Requirements:

BSCE from an ABET accredited university

Registered Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of New Jersey, or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate and be on-track to obtain a PE License within one year

Four (4) to eight (8+) year’s of experience in Transportation Engineering Design

Experience with NJDOT Design Manuals and Capital Project Delivery Process

Excellent written and verbal communication skills - proficient in the Microsoft Office suite

Valid driver's license (occasional travel to work sites required)
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer/InRoads software platforms

Proficiency with Primavera scheduling software; or familiarity with similar project scheduling software.
Travel:
Occasional travel to work sites is required, mostly day travel within New Jersey with the possibility of some overnight travel to adjoining states. Company vehicles will be made available.

Additional Information:

Salary: The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 - $130,000. This range represents a good faith estimate based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
